Is it possible to read someone’s mind? The answer is an emphatic “Yes!”. It is very easy to determine what a person is thinking by observing their lifestyle, surroundings, friends, attitude, home, job, etc.
How is that possible? It is well established in both God’s laws and in psychology that you are what you think. What you think about yourself and what you believe creates your reality. It is an established fact that your beliefs are transferred to your subconscious mind. And, it is your subconscious mind that controls your actions.
So if someone has an addiction, it is a fact that they are thinking and believing they are an addict. If someone is alone, impoverished, miserable, or in a constant struggle – these are the results of their established patterns of thoughts and beliefs which are continually being acted out through their subconscious mind which in turn creates their reality.
So what do you think happens if you tell yourself and believe that you are an addict and will always be an addict? Your subconscious will make sure that you act and behave as an addict. You are making it virtually impossible for your recovery. Conversely, what do you think would happen if you tell yourself and believe that you are fearlessly and wonderfully made in God’s image, and that no addiction can keep you in chains because you are free from any and all addictions, and you are strong, powerful, and forever cured. The result will be that your subconscious mind will make sure you act and behave as someone who is free, strong, and cured.
Tell a new story about yourself. It doesn’t need to be a story that has materialized yet, but one that is in your near future. Keep telling this new story about your freedom and recovery and new wonderful life until one day you will see the evidence all around you, and everyone else will see it too. Be thankful and grateful and keep believing, because your thoughts will become your reality. Think only the good ones.
Make the decision to never support your addiction through your negative thoughts again. Only support your recovery with positive, wonderful thoughts about yourself.
